"A digital era for transport": This was the motto of this year's Transport Research Arena (TRA). From April 16-19, more than 3000 experts from all over the world came to Vienna to take part in the biennial TRA, the biggest transport research conference in Europe. Dr. Andreas Metzger represented the European Big Data lighthouse project "TransformingTransport" at TRA. As the technical coordinator, he gave a panel lecture on the project, which also had a booth at the event. Dr. Metzger and his project partners (see photo) answered many questions about the use of big data in the mobility and logistics sector.
