In 13 pilot projects, the TT project partners have dealt with the requirements of European transport and logistics companies and developed solutions for data analysis and data visualization of traffic. They all use Big Data technologies to intelligently control activities in airports, ports, roads and railways.
Visitors to ICT 2018 can now experience these solutions. They will learn first-hand details about the developments, e.g. about the algorithms used. In addition to scientists and IT specialists, numerous high-ranking EU representatives have announced their visit to the TransformingTransport stand.
The working group Software Systems Engineering of Prof. Dr. Klaus Pohl is responsible for the overall technical coordination of the project. In addition, the SSE scientists have developed a productivity cockpit that can be used for monitoring and controlling operational processes in port terminals. Pilot partner is the Port of Duisburg, which is considered the largest inland port in the world.
