The Hightech.NRW Project „LoFIP – Logistic Future-Internet-Platform“ has the purpose to implement a software platform which allows for simple development of software-based federated control centers for logistic processes, based on future internet technologies. Using this platform, demonstrators are developed which show the suitability of incorporating future internet technologies into this domain.

Together with the participating logistic enterprises visionary use cases are defined which comprise the support of operative logistic processes by future internet control centers. These use cases serve as the source for requirements to the platform to-be which is used to build concrete control centers. Based on the platform, demonstrators situated in a Living Lab will show the usage of control centers by means of the use cases. The Living Lab is going to be build in the Paluno Institute for the purposes of the project.

The project video explains a visionary use case, which comprises the support of operative logistic processes by future internet control centers. Created by paluno, June 2013.
